A dental implant – a mouth saver

A missing tooth or damaged teeth needing removal not only look bad, but they can ‘do bad’ too. Tooth loss, if not addressed, can lead to bone loss and your jaw collapsing in on itself. You also won’t be able to eat properly. At Hello Dental we offer a simple solution – a dental implant that will look and act just like a natural tooth, and that can be paid for with our interest-free payment plans.
A missing tooth solution for retaining dental and budget health!

We’ll replace your missing tooth or teeth over three visits. During your first visit we’ll take scans and x-rays, at the second we’ll perform the dental implant surgery, and the third will see us attach your artificial tooth (dental crown) to the dental implant.

How we’ll place your dental implant

Hello DentalIcon
1

Identifying the angle of the implant

At your first appointment our dentist will take x-rays and scans of your teeth to identify and confirm where exactly to place the dental implant.
2

Your dental implant surgery

You’ll be given local anaesthetic and the dental implant will be placed into your jaw bone during a minor operation. You won’t feel anything, and for the next three months your bone will grow and surround the implant, ensuring it integrates fully. We will also give you a temporary crown before you leave, to sit over the implant’s abutment, to ensure a natural look and function.
3

Placing your custom crown

Your new artificial tooth crown will be custom made, and when completed it will be affixed to the dental implant. You’ve got your smile and oral health back – enjoy eating as usual again too!

Dental implants aka tooth replacements – your questions, answered

What are dental implants?

IconIcon
Dental implants are titanium screws placed into and accepted by the jawbone to replace a missing tooth or teeth. A dental implant is then capped by a customised, natural-looking dental crown, made by our Australian-based ceramicist.

How much do dental implants cost?

IconIcon
Our dental implant treatment plans start from $5,000 and this includes scans, x-rays, the surgery itself and the dental crown. We accept all major health funds, and the balance (or all of it) can be covered by our interest-free payment plans, if required.

How long do dental implants last?

IconIcon
The titanium dental implant is designed to be life-long, whereas your ceramic crown is long term (think decades) but care-dependent.

What are the risks involved?

IconIcon
Provided you maintain good oral hygiene, and you have adequate bone density (assessed by our dentist) for the dental implant to be placed, there are few risks. If you experience significant discomfort, pain, prolonged swelling, bleeding, or other signs of infection like pus, please contact us straight away.

What is a dental implant bridge?

IconIcon
This is a type of implant component whereby two or more dental crowns are joined together and sit on top of a dental implant (or two) to replace multiple teeth. ‘All-on-4’ is an implant supported treatment plan (using four dental implants per jaw) to permanently replace full arches of upper or lower missing teeth with full dental bridges.
